Casper Peeters
Casper is the CEO of E-magy, founded in 2019. He invests in fast-growing, sustainable companies, serving as advisor, board member, and Investment Committee member. Previously, he co-founded and led Xsens, a 3D motion tracking company, until its acquisition by Fairchild Semiconductor in 2014. Casper holds a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Twente, Netherlands.
Fergal Harrington-Beatty
Fergal oversees the commercial team and drives sales strategy, with 10+ years experience working in the EV and battery sectors. He manages client relationships in the EV, aerospace, and consumer electronics markets, and represents E-magy at industry events, conferences, and trade fairs, sharing his expertise on battery technologies.
Marco Spreafico
Marco holds a PhD and brings years of experience in the Li-ion battery industry, working closely with cell developers and OEMs. His background spans materials and surface engineering, with a focus on translating advanced materials into high-performance, commercially viable battery solutions.
Vanesa Ruiz Ruiz
Vanesa is specialising in battery safety, performance, and durability. She has expertise in standardisation, testing, and regulatory aspects, and experience with supercapacitor materials. Vanesa has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles, holds one patent, and has presented over 50 conference contributions.
Jonathan Davies
Jon is Program Manager and ESG Coordinator at E-magy.
With a PhD in electrochemistry and 30 years of experience in batteries and fuel cells, Jon brings deep expertise to our team. Before joining E-magy, he worked in academia, the EU Commission, and several SMEs in the battery and fuel cells sector.
Axel Schonecker
CTO and founder of E-magy and RGS Development, specialising in materials and solid-state devices for static power generation. With over 28 years of experience in Silicon solar and material R&D, he has coordinated numerous international and European projects. Previously, Axel worked at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands as a project manager for solar cell projects. He holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Freiburg.
Ian Bennett
Ian is a material scientist with more the 30 years’ experience in materials development at research institutes and in industry. He has worked with a broad range of materials including ceramics, metals and polymers. He joined E-magy in 2021 as senior process engineer.
Jiyeon Kim
Jiyeon is skilled in strategy development within the battery industry. With years of experience in project management in battery manufacturing, she possesses deep insights into the manufacturing process and industry trends. She effectively utilises her global network to generate high-quality leads and represents E-magy at international conferences, trade shows, and networking events to identify opportunities and expand the sales pipeline.
